Moving to a new site can be an exciting time for a business, but it can also become stressful and daunting.

The well-known saying that comes to mind for us when we think about moving properties is - ‘By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail’.

It is vital that you have invested time in planning and preparing to make sure the move goes as smooth as possible to minimise downtime.

Parallel Lines chose to sponsor the Worcestershire Education Awards because we work with many schools and recognise that heads, teachers, ancillary staff and unsung heroes have a tough job and rarely get an opportunity to shout about it. These awards promote the recognition of such dedicated educators.

If your tennis court hasn’t been regularly maintained over the autumn and winter months, moss and debris can build-up on the surface of your court, compromising your court’s grip and drainage. Not only this, but the harsh weather conditions of the autumn and winter months can also cause your court line markings to become faded and the surface of your court to weaken and disintegrate.

Here are some simple tips to get your tennis court ready for the summer.

Firstly I am delighted to inform you all that we have moved our business to a larger site. Our new business address is as follows:

Unit 2, Open Barn Business Centre, Kempsey, Worcestershire, WR5 3LW

We have been loving the hot weather that has occurred over the last few weeks, as this has helped us meet all our targets for summer sports markings. This also means that Dominic, our apprentice, has finally had a better season to work in! The fantastic Wimbledon win for Andy Murray has spurred customers on to get their private tennis courts re-sprayed. This again has provided us with more work.

Worcester Mayor & Mayoress visit Dines Green Primary school to launch the new Globe playground design as part of the PITT project.

The rain stayed about just long enough for the Key Stage 2 children of Dines Green Primary school to enjoy exploring the world globe which has been laid on the playground by the Parallel Lines team. The world globe was commissioned as a result of an Ofsted inspection which suggested the children needed more activities to stimulate their imagination in the playground. Dave Mann & artist, Nathaniel Pitt have worked hard to give the children a way to explore the geography of the world in a fun & interactive way.

The children love it! Coupled with indoor projects exploring different aspects of the world such as where different foods come from and where animals live and many more. They built the Himalayas out of rocks & filled Australia with sand.

Mr. Gough, the headteacher of the school, welcomed the Mayor & Mayoress of Worcester to the school to 'cut the ribbon' and officially open the new activity. Luckily the weather stayed fine and we managed to get lots of photographs for a new gallery for the website.

Lots more fun patterns, shapes & activities are now planned for the rest of the playground over the coming weeks & months. Lucky kids!
